Website and business enquiries

Website privacy.

This notice covers the public Obsdale Systems website and business enquiries to discovery@obsdalesystems.co.uk. It does not describe the separate privacy arrangements for Obsdale products. Last updated: 15 October 2026.

Who is responsible

Obsdale Systems Ltd is responsible for the use of personal information described here. Company number 17473707, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX.

For privacy questions or requests, email discovery@obsdalesystems.co.uk.

When you visit the website

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested addresses, browser information and request timestamps to deliver and protect the website.

For necessary website delivery and security processing for which Obsdale is responsible, we rely on legitimate interests in providing and protecting this informational website. This purpose is limited to necessary technical data, without marketing reuse.

We do not intentionally use advertising cookies, behavioural advertising or third-party analytics on these pages. The website does not provide a contact form, product login, reporting service or operational upload route.

When you send a business enquiry

We receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, organisation and message. We use it to respond to your enquiry, understand your requirements and manage any resulting business discussion.

Our lawful basis for routine business enquiries is legitimate interests: handling relevant enquiries and developing appropriate business relationships. We consider whether that use is necessary and proportionate, and your interests and reasonable expectations. You can object to this use.

You choose whether to contact us. We need sufficient contact information to respond. Please do not send personal case information, sensitive personal information or operational records through this enquiry route.

Who handles the information

Business enquiries are reviewed by the person running Obsdale Systems. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards messages to a personal Microsoft Outlook.com/Hotmail mailbox. Cloudflare also delivers the website.

For content carried through its services and relevant customer logs, Cloudflare acts as a processor under its published terms. It also acts as a controller for some service data and purposes described in its privacy policy. Microsoft handles information under its consumer privacy statement, including for its own service and security purposes.

We do not use the enquiry route to build an advertising mailing list. Information may also need to be shared where required by law or to obtain relevant professional advice.

How long enquiries are kept

Routine enquiries are deleted after 12 months without further contact. Active discussions are retained for as long as needed and reviewed annually. A continuing relationship or a legal requirement may require a separate retention decision for the relevant records.

This policy applies to the enquiry records we manage. Cloudflare and Microsoft retain technical records and other service data using criteria such as the purpose, the nature and sensitivity of the data, security needs and legal or contractual requirements. Their published policies do not set one deletion deadline for every technical record or backup.

Mail services also have their own deletion processes. Deleting a message from the business inbox does not mean that every provider copy is immediately removed. See the providers’ privacy policies below for their retention criteria.

Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare and Microsoft operate internationally, including in the United States and other countries outside the UK. Their published arrangements describe safeguards for relevant transfers, rather than UK-only processing.

Cloudflare’s privacy policy describes reliance on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for relevant UK-to-US transfers. Its customer data-processing addendum also provides UK Addendum/standard contractual clause arrangements for relevant restricted transfers, including fallback where applicable.

Microsoft’s consumer privacy statement describes safeguards including standard contractual clauses and certification to the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for transfers received in reliance on it.

To ask about the relevant arrangements or obtain details or copies of applicable safeguards, contact us at the email address above. Cloudflare also provides privacyquestions@cloudflare.com for safeguards information. Microsoft’s privacy team and Data Protection Officer contact routes are in its privacy contact section.

Your rights

Your right to object

You can object to our use of your personal information based on legitimate interests, including for business enquiries and necessary website delivery/security. Email us to explain your objection.

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure or restriction of its use. Data portability applies in the circumstances set out in data-protection law.

To make a request, email the address above. We may need enough information to identify the relevant records and confirm that we are dealing with the right person.

You can raise a concern with us or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data-protection regulator.

Product privacy and changes

Obsdale’s product lines are in development. Product-specific privacy information, governance documentation and customer terms will be provided separately as those services progress toward external use.

We will update this notice when the website or enquiry process changes. The date above identifies this version.
